The rehabilitation team of Glenbridge strives to help each resident requiring therapy services to attain the highest practical level of independence.
Speech therapy can help:
- Improve swallowing functions for adequate nutrition.
- Increase communication skills through the use of augmentative communication devices.
- Improve speech intelligibility.
Physical therapy can offer:
- Instruction in the areas of gait and transfer training.
- Exercises for coordination, balance, and safety skills.
- ambulation and strength training.

Occupational therapy can provide:
- Retraining in daily activities, such as dressing, bathing, and eating.
- Strengthening exercises and positioning techniques for use of equipment, such as wheelchairs.
- Splinting of extremities to prevent joint deformities.
All of these therapies are available with a physician's orders and can help residents cross the bridge to a maximum level of functioning, whether at home or at Glenbridge.
